Description
I like to imagine that the Professor was a bit of a cad as a younger fellow with a little Tony Stark in him; intelligent and confident and full of himself not at all unlike his grandson until his altercation with Giovanni (discussed here) sobered him up at which point he likely gave up his champion position and focused on his research work and mentoring the youth of the nation, much to the chagrin of Agatha who thinks he wimped out THAT OLD DUFF.
The Pokemon here are based off the glitch team he had in the original Red/Blue games; Rustam the Charizard, Ferdinand the Tauros, Brunhilde the Arcanine, Quintesson ‘Quinn’ the Exeggutor and Mikado the Gyarados.
Probably part of a photoshoot for a cover of Kanto’s version of Empire during the peak of his career. Gary has a copy stowed away between his reading material; as much as he quarrels with his Gramps, there’s still childhood love and adulation there, and he’s proud of his old man, even if said old man is sort of bonkers sometimes.
1) Why is Brunhilde's mane braided?
2) Why are the Quin's head skulls and not eggs?
3) What happened to Mikado's left eye?
